It’s that time again! Time when the new semester of classes posts and you can register for some amazingly fun (if I do say so myself!) online classes for your little learners. The MamaTeaches Online classes for the Winter/Spring 2015 semester include 25, yes TWENTY-FIVE, brand-new titles. I am so psyched to be able to share them with you and your family! (Psst…There’s also a free class listed below, so be sure to check that out too.)
While the classes are geared for children ages 4-8, there have been students as old as 11 and as young as 3 who have listened in, participated, and had a great time. All classes are offered through CurrClick LIVE’s amazing online platform which gives us access to the Adobe Classrooms. So, what do we have in store? Let me tell you…
MamaTeaches Online Winter/Spring 2015 Classes
In January we start off with the Science Sleuths: Wild Weather class on Thursdays at 11:30am CST. We also have our January Book Buddies class where we’ll be reading Jan Brett’s The Mitten. Then join us as we delve into Wonderful Words and explore more parts of speech. Our first Safety Kids class is also in January and talks about Stranger Danger. Then we will round out the month with the first of our Famous Americans for Little Learners classes where we talk all about George Washington.
In February, we will have a great time exploring more Famous Americans including Benjamin Franklin, Rosa Parks, and Abraham Lincoln. We’ll also have fun with the Science Sleuths in the Healthy Me! class. Our February Book Buddies class reassures us that everyone has bad days sometimes as we read Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. The Safety Kids come back in February to talk about the importance of Fire Safety too.
March starts off with a special Book Buddies as we celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday on March 2nd. We also start our next language arts class, Playful Poetry, and learn all about bicycle safety in the Safety Kids Class.
Learning will be out of this world in April as the Science Sleuths head into space in the Super Space class! We’ll also find out more about Famous Americans Eleanor Roosevelt and Amelia Earhart. Cause and effect will be the topic of April’s Book Buddies class as we read If You Give a Moose a Muffin. Then we will find out more about staying safe online with the Safety Kids and the Internet Safety class.
Finally, as we wind down the Spring semester, we will take a trip into the garden with the Science Sleuths and learn all about what a garden is and why it’s so important. We’ll also read about The Very Hungry Caterpillar for May’s Book Buddies Class and talk about pool safety with the Safety Kids.
It’s going to be a very busy semester and I can’t wait to see you for class! You can find out more about each class by checking out the Mama Teaches Online page or by visiting the class listings page on CurrClick LIVE.
Join us for a SPECIAL! FREE New Year’s Book Buddies Class on Tuesday, December 30th at 11:00am CST.
