Caramel apples are one of life’s sinful pleasures that I am more than happy to indulge in. The gooey caramel, the crisp apple…ahh. While normally reserved for the fall, these caramel apples are perfect for anytime of year!
Quick Caramel Baked Apples
4 cooking apples (cored and cut in half lengthwise)
25 vanilla caramels
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup chopped nuts
Place apples, cut side up, in an 8 x 8 baking dish. Cover and microwave for 3 – 4 minutes or until apples are tender. Combine caramels and milk in microwave safe dish and microwave for 2 – 3 minutes or until melted, stirring halfway through. Pour caramel sauce over apples and sprinkle with nuts. Microwave uncovered for 2 – 3 minutes (caramel sauce should bubble). Serve warm and enjoy!
