About Me

Brandi Jordan, Founder of MamaTeaches.com

I started MamaTeaches a few years after I started homeschooling my own kids. I graduated from Lock Haven University of PA with a B.S. in Elementary Education, a minor in Spanish, and dreams of living out my days in the classroom. After having my own kids and moving across the country – again, we made the decision that I would stay home and homeschool them. After all, I had taught in the classroom – how hard could it be?!

{insert wild laughing}

Let’s just say homeschooling and teaching in the classroom are vastly different. I quickly learned that I had a lot more patience for managing 30 students than I did for managing my own two. Writing about that time and being able to have MamaTeaches.com as an outlet saved my sanity and made me a better mom, a better teacher, and a better wife.

These days I continue to work from home designing learning resources, supporting entrepreneurs with their creative needs, and teaching yoga online to children, teens, and adults.

My oldest is now 23 and working full-time, my 21-year-old is serving the country in the United States Air Force, and my 17-year-old is a high school junior enrolled in public school. We have always taken their learning a year at a time and been open to all paths. There is no one way to do life.

I continue to be committed to MamaTeaches.com and have also branched out, creating specialty websites for my passions. For kids’ crafts, pop on over to ThatKidsCraftSite.com or ColoringPagesAndMore.com. For organizing your home, family, and life, take a look at TheOrganizationHouse.com. And for exercise and wellness ideas, see me over at MamaExercises.com. And for homeschooling ideas specifically for preschoolers, check out HomeschoolingPreschool.com.

As a certified elementary teacher, certified personal trainer, youth exercise specialist, and certified adult and kids’ yoga instructor, I have a ton of ideas to spread across all of the sites. Also, I like a lot of variety! 😉

If you have any questions or need any help, don’t hesitate to contact me! I appreciate you stopping by and hope that a visit to MamaTeaches.com made your life a tad bit easier!
