With over 39 Native American tribes, Oklahoma has the largest population of Native Americans than any other state.
In fact, many of the Natives are descendants from the first Indian territories that inhabited Oklahoma before it even became a state.

While many states have an official state food, Oklahoma actually has a whole entire meal!
On the menu for Oklahoma’s official state meal is barbecue pork, chicken-fried steak, sausage and gravy, okra, squash, corn on the cob, cornbread, black-eyed peas, biscuits, grits, strawberries, and pecan pie. Yummy!
Oklahoma has a county that is bordered by 4 states.
Cimarron County in OK is bordered by Texas, New Mexico, Colorado and Kansas.
This is more state borders than any other county has in the United States.
Oklahoma is home to 4 mountain ranges.
Even though most of Oklahoma land is open plains with low hills, there are a total of four mountain ranges that are located in the Sooner state.
The Ouachita, Arbuckle, Wichita and Kiamichi Mountain ranges are all in the southern half of Oklahoma.
Approximately 24 percent of OK is covered with forestland.
