Ah, fall. The leaves are changing, the crisp autumn air drifts through the windows, and quick kids’ crafts are just what your fall afternoon is calling for. Take a walk, gather up some pinecones, and get to work creating some easy and decorative painted pinecones.
If you are taking a Montessori homeschool or preschool approach, this painted pinecones craft is perfect for adding to your lesson plans. It’s a great way to incorporate nature and give your kids hands-on learning when it comes to textures in the world around them.
We recommend keeping a container of wet wipes handy, as sometimes the pinecones can have residual sap on them and it can make crafting a very sticky process! (We learned this the hard way!)
